Good day subscribers thank you so much for joining me today i am jeremy this is a financial education channel and today i’m so excited to talk about this subject we’re talking about who is the current steve jobs there’s only one person in my opinion who even deserves to be in the same sentence as steve jobs because of how many different things steve jobs contributed
To and helped change the world and we’re gonna kind of go through some things on on things that steve did in industries he changed a lot of people don’t even realize that he changed and we’ll time to compare them to this person i’m gonna announce here in just a minute that basically deserves to be in the same sentence in my opinion because of how many industries
That individuals changing in in the way they do things basically now why even compare someone like a legend like steve jobs somebody else well it’s freaking fun it’s it’s fun to me i come from the sports world right where you know i watch espn or whatever or with my friends i’m always comparing we’re comparing athletes oh michael jordan was better than lebron james
Or lebron james is better than kevin durant or football tom brady was better than joe montana or whatever we compare people that’s how you it’s just a competitive type thing you compare people and see oh this person was better than this person because they did this in that net so we’re gonna compare these two business legends i don’t know why like this is not a
Popular thing that people do like on a regular basis maybe i’m the only business nerd that cares about this stuff i don’t know but anyways let’s get into this guy’s so if you like this video hit the thumbs up today and let’s get into this so first thing you have to change multiple industries you have to change multiple industries so with jobs the first industry
He changed obviously back in the late 70s in the early 80s was the computer industry it was just coming up infancy and his company apple that he was running that basically helped change the whole computer industry and really get the ball rolling because at that time there was not a computer in every house there wasn’t even a computer in every 10 houses it was very
Few and far between at that time and only people have really had computers were super high-end ben maybe and maybe super wealthy people that was really all that had computers apple came along in the in the like i said the late 70s or in the early eighties and really changed the game in and really began to bring upon the computer age where it was normal to have
A computer in your house so that is the first industry jobs change and that changed everything forever we know how i mean imagine your life without a computer it’s like ridiculous because computing now is in your phone it’s in your obviously your regular computer if you have one laptops ipads anything that basically is any type of electronics device is basically
A computer now and his company helped change the whole way and make it into a mass-market type product so that’s the first huge industry jobs change elon musk he changed the big industry as well and maybe not as big as jobs did but must basically changed the how financial payments are done online because he helped fund paypal paypal he was the biggest owner in
Paypal he basically started a company it got acquired by another company called conformity or something like that they combined together elon musk was the largest shareholder in paypal at that time they changed the name to paypal he ran the company for like a decade and then sold out his stake but he he’d changed the whole financial industry i mean imagine things
Without paypal today paypal is i think a business worth thirty billion dollars something like that it changed the game on how financial transactions are done online so he changed the whole financial industry and how payments are done so that’s the first industry both of them changed jobs with computers and elon musk with financial transactions online then they
Change another one jobs with pixar so after jobs got let go from apple not a lot of people know this he basically invested in pixar which was struggling at that time it was nothing this was way before toy story era and all those things and he basically brought pixar back to life and then they ended up really seeing the toy story movie which totally changed the game
On animation and movies and those kinds of things in all the movies that kids movies you see nowadays it all has to do with pixar coming back and then disney buying out pixar which was all due to steve jobs if steve jobs did not exist by pixar today kids movies would probably be a lot different than they are they honestly wouldn’t pixar would have never existed
And the whole toy story thing and all those kinds of things would have never happened guys so he would changed the whole animated industry for movies and basically kids movies and all those kinds of things that’s a huge thing that people a lot of people don’t even have a clue about in this er really know their stuff i was steve jobs and then elon musk he began to
Change the world with spacex now this is uh this is still uh something in process as well it’s kind of hard to compare him because elon musk is still kind of going with these things and we got to see where it takes it but spacex could definitely has the potential realistic potential to not like oh yeah it’s you know maybe they could do that someday there’s a
Realistic potential to make space travel a real thing every year i kind of update myself on what’s going on with spacex and every year they get a little more advanced than the things they’re doing and whatnot if you’ve ever watched youtube videos where they have rockets basically launch way and uh pretty much almost outer space and then they come down they land
Themselves and things like that and there’s no pilot inside it’s amazing stuff that they’re doing over there so spacex is definitely a company that i wouldn’t be surprised if in 20 years space travel was like a legit thing i’m you know maybe only extremely wealthy people can afford at that point but i would not be surprised if like space travel is like a thing to
Do i would not be surprised they’re doing some amazing things over there so that’s an entire industry that that elon musk’s is basically creating not even changing he’s basically creating that one number three jobs changed the entire music industry so the music industry was kind of like napster was coming along and people would illegally download music and things
Jones come in changed the whole business model for music by basically launching the itunes store at the same time as well as basically about a year after he launched the itunes store and also the ipod this also put music in everybody’s pocket and it also had a system where you could go in and buy individual songs for $0.99 which was kind of like an unheard-of idea
At that time and the way the process was so seamless that you would basically have now a catalog of songs on a little ipod this big you know what thousand songs 2001 heard of before and the ability to purchase one song at a time if you want or purchase an entire album things like that so he changed the entire music industry in the way music industry is nowadays
It’s still all around kind of that steve jobs mentality you know okay i got a solo song for a night and i sense and try to put out big hit singles and and even artists a little bit focused less on albums now they focus more on trying to get a big hit song that people will pay that $0.99 well i think it’s a dollar twenty nine nowadays to buy that song basically in
Performing concerts and all those kinds of things so jobs really help change the entire music industry elon musk changing the entire auto industry with tesla must use single-handedly changing the entire auto industry and making it from a gasoline engine based you know combustion type thing to all-electric to high-performance to style and all these kinds of things
He’s single-handedly changing the entire auto industry i’m a firm believer and this is a very controversial point that 50% of all automobiles sold ten years from now will be tesla’s no one’s ever had 50% market share in america since maybe the model t was launched by ford or something a long time ago but i truly believe that will happen because basically tesla they
Have no competitors there’s so far out in front of everybody and that will kind of get into that a little bit later but tesla’s so far out in front of everybody and basically everybody i know if they could afford a tesla they would have a tesla i mean it would be a lot better to run off the electric car that super stylish super fast and super modern it’s a very
Very much a want type thing with tesla so now they’re gonna be launching the $35,000 car or 40,000 however much it ends up being if that can be launched absolutely i’m sticking with my bold prediction of 50% of cars will be sold and that will be tesla’s that’s what i firmly believe in the united states and then worldwide that will adopt over time no differ then
Than the iphone or something like that guy so he’s single-handedly changing the auto industry and pushing it so much faster than anybody thought it would go honestly no one thought you know electric cars would be where they’re at now in it’s all because of tesla all because of tesla number four jobs changed the entire the entire i guess you can say mobile texting
Right cuz of the iphone launched iphone success the ipad launched the mac books you know over the years everything that’s a mobile device a mobile computing device you can take with you that was jobs influence and that jobs changing the entire tech industry and moving at a much faster pace then we thought it would go i mean no one ever predicted that a smartphone
Would be at the level it’s at now on those kinds of things so he brought upon the whole mobile revolution and gave it david legs that made a go way faster than anybody thought it could go so that is a that’s a huge thing he changed and now you you know everybody’s got a smartphone pretty much i mean i don’t know one person that doesn’t have a smartphone not even
One person so the credit he deserves on that is just amazing the things he accomplished at apple with moving things like that musk and this is another one that’s ongoing but it’s the solar roofs with the electric and maybe changing the entire way we get energy because basically i see must his visitor musk’s of vision his vision is basically these huge battery
Packs that basically would let go in your garage or whatever you have a solar roof the solar roof collects enough enough electricity basically generates enough electricity throughout the day it goes into that battery power pack that’s in your garage or wherever and basically you get your electric that way and that’s how you use all your appliances all your lighting
Everything it’s all basically from solar so i definitely see the way he wants to change the whole industry i think it’s very possible this is another thing that has to kind of play all kind of like the spacex even even tesla to a certain extent has to play out so so musk is kind of like his his whole resume is not written in stone yet the only thing that’s written in
Stone is paypal all these other ones are definitely showing promise but they they’re not there as far as we in there for sure done but musk is the only one in my opinion that deserves to be put in the single sentence of steve jobs because he’s the only one that’s doing all these different things in trying to change industries and realistically realistically that’s
A main thing realistically being able to change those industries next up here basically outside the box ideas were be laughed at by some of the you know by steve jobs in elon musk so he’s outside the box ideas i mean i remember when iphone was launched it was launched i think it was $500 which is actually cheaper than it would is now $500 first iphone was i believe
Everybody laughed it off like it was a big freaking joke oh $500 cellphone give me a break knowing that i’ll want that crap and think last year they sold 230 million iphones ten not even 10 years later nine years later 230 million iphones sold and actually got more expensive the product so just the thing that everybody laughed at in there was an outside-the-box i
Do we have a smartphone you know and this is a real smartphone and look when i turned out it you know all those people are laugh and they probably feel pretty stupid now and some of those were microsoft executives and a lot of high-ranking people at that time musk kind of i issued say the the whole space thing the whole spacex that’s kind of a thing that’s like oh
Give me a break space travel give me a break that’s never gonna happen and every year like i said he gets more and the the company basically gets closer and closer to bringing that to reality so that was that’s kind of a laughed off thing like oh that’s a joke and now it’s like okay that’s kind of happening and also another thing that must uh gets laptop have you
Guys heard what he thinks about the simulation theory if you haven’t when you’re done with this video type in elon musk simulation theory and the youtube and basically hear what his points are basically what he believes and i kind of i’m starting to believe this too because it kind of makes sense is that basically we’re we’re all in a simulation right now we’re
All on a simulation reason being is technology’s getting so far advanced right that probably within 20 or 30 years we cannot to create a 3d world that’s a simulation that’s basically as realistic as ours because of the advances in technology so the the thing of it is is there is so he believes there’s a 99.999999% chance we’re in a simulation because what is the
Chance that were the first ones to come upon this technology and were the first ones to basically create a simulation of because we’re going to be able to create a simulation the same way and i was realistic as ours is right now like i said within 20 30 years maybe 50 years of saying take 50 years or 100 years it’s still going to happen very soon in a relatively
Short time so are we the what is the chance that were the first ones to do that and create a simulation and there’s not someone else that’s created the simulation before so that’s a big big question in there and and that’s an outside-the-box idea that people are like wow wow what did i do anything about and but then you haven’t listened to it it’s like i kind of
Make sense so that’s another outside-of-the-box idea you know sometimes these guys are a little wacky in the head but sometimes their ideas are kind of good in my opinion and i’m like that kind of makes sense so maybe i’m a little crazy to empathise so in the last one here is basically getting their company’s way out in front of competition apple was always so
Far out in front of the competition i mean when ipad was launched for instance a first ipad it was like five years ahead of his time you know launched into 10 tablets didn’t really start to catch up as far as competitor tablets to even the first ipad until really like five years later i mean i mean the iphone that was way ahead of its time there was nothing even
Close to iphone when iphone was launched as far as a legit smartphone not like a dumb smartphone you know i could do a few things but not even close to the capabilities of the iphone there was nothing even remotely close it took it took gosh i would say the first real competitor to the iphone was samsung but samsung not until like 2013 range we’re talking about
Here when i think the s3 was launched that was when the first real competitor iphone came along so we’re talking about he had apple five years in front of everybody tech wise almost all the time which absolutely amazing and now to see apple actually not really in front of anybody tech wise i would actually say samsung’s actually pass them over the last couple
Years as far as technology it’s crazy to think but steve jobs he always had apple way in front of everybody as far as the whole vision as far as the product so as far as the tech goes everything elon musk he’s got everybody so far passed up with tesla and the whole electric autos in the way they work and almost hang those kinds of things he’s way out front of the
Competition he’s got a lot of big competitors you know that are trying to push into that space but tesla’s so far out in front of everybody especially if they’re able to make a thirty five forty thousand dollar you know model three that they’re talking about launching here and i think six months so i believe they’re gonna already start battery capacity within the
Next three months and then first deliveries could be six to nine months from now that’s a huge deal and that’s way out in front of the competition on what anybody else can deliver in that space so he’s got tesla way out in front jobs always had apple way out in front the if they’re just you know two people that you know sometimes their ideas could get left off
Apart and then they also they come out and they’re like oh no that’s not such a joke after all that’s actually realistic and there are two people that change industries majorly with elon musk resume still being written so i love sharing the story with you guys today i really enjoy it what do you guys think is elon musk the closest thing to steve jobs we have in my
Opinion is he absolutely is i don’t really see anybody it takes more than just being a billionaire it takes more than just creating one that company and changing one industry you have to do a lot you have to change many industries you have to be impactful in the world and the way people kind of you know think about transport or think about computing these kinds of
