I jumped through hoops to get us into this YouTube space. I enjoyed it greatly and also recorded what I saw so you can experience it yourself as well. I’m thinking this could be inspiration for those of you wanting to reach that 10,000 subscriber mark and something to look forward to when you reach that goal.
Today i am going to youtube space tokyo in roppongi hills however i cannot show you at the typical things i show you all my typical vlogs because there’s a lot of copyright requirements if i want to show the youtube space hence all those typical getting their type of video type of thing i’m gonna have to omit so we’re gonna just fast-forward over there here we are
Again at roppongi hills and i am at mori tower it is actually a really big tower is very very recognizable in roppongi hills apparently they informed me that i cannot make a video with that tower in a video because this is sort of like a commercial video so then i have to get permission from them before it can appear in my video hence you see in the background
It’s very very plain and this is on purpose imagine a very very tall tower i’m looking at it right now it looks like i don’t know 15 stories tall but then the footprint is really really huge i’m gonna go in check in and wish me luck that i can actually get in this time i feel like i’ve jumped through like five hoops to get into this place number one i did an online
Orientation for one whole hour i had to wait about a day to get my contracts have to sign the contracts i have to go back and forth in email with someone at the location so if you reach the ten thousand subscriber threshold you definitely want to sign up for the place do all this stuff before you actually go to the space i am right outside youtube space tokyo
This is the first youtube space i’ve ever been at and this is the only place i can actually record starting right in front of youtube space but the thing is no one is in right now and i’m using this little intercom thing i have my little badge thing and stuff i got up this is the 29th floor i guess i just gotta wait around until they show up before anyone starts
Watching me because no one’s at the reception right now i can actually record myself i guess is cool so here we are in studio 3 over here let’s go in this is the 29th floor so let’s check out the view oh my this is a great view there is some sort of background thing i guess you can use and then on this side is also some sort of background thing with chairs and
I guess i can set it up in various ways to do what i need okay now that i am inside this space i can actually record something check it out behind me this is the reception area let’s go over here and see over here is a really big screen over here is oh that’s a lot of equipment over there okay and over here is studio one i think this is one of the biggest studio
Oh there’s like a little classroom thing in here okay here is a studio – it has this backdrop thing and that’s kind of sloping down and the editing room they have some wonder if i can use a dip in qi control panel thing this is the recording studio for audio this is my studio studio 3 and check it out they have my channel name over here and whatever whatever
This character is well that doesn’t work i registered to get a red camera but actually you need to go through a tutorial process before you can handle such a thing as well as this ronin video stabilizer thing and to me i thought that was a pretty straightforward thing to use but then they still say it’s a very hard thing to use so anyhow they did give me some
Equipment generally the red camera uses really really large file so if i record one minute i’m guessing it’s like 20 gigabytes of data and my laptop that i bring with me might not be able to handle so much data anyhow i got a whole bunch of equipment over here this is an audio technica 80-48 ii i think this is a 1500 to $2,000 microphone and it’s a condenser mic
I’m gonna put it on later hopefully i’m able to use it this is a blackmagic 4k camera i’ve looked at this before but i have not really considered using it myself because it’s sort of like a production quality thing and you see it’s pretty huge and well i’m just gonna try out the video quality there’s a cinema lens here look at this this is really big a canyon
14 millimeter lens here a cable for my money a power adapter for the blackmagic camera a solid-state disk because you need something really really fast to be able to output the data from this blackmagic camera a mic holder i mic stand over here and a tripod i’m gonna get this set up over here but first i’m gonna show you a little bit more on this youtube space
Out of the studio 3 there’s booth one like a makeup room blue 2 is clothes i’m not gonna go in there this is actually i need to try this out actually these are just your colorings i think and there is a mac pro for you to use over here big screen i might need to get something like this myself so i can edit better so now that i’ve got acclimated i’m going
To set up this equipment and just do a little test run to see if i can even actually use any of it or the video output of this blackmagic camera lastly i want to cover my backpack and what i actually carry in it there’s so little stuff and i’ve been managing to be able to use all of it comfortably i’m not missing out on anything in fact i can remove some things
From my backpack that will be the contents of the video i make here okay this is a really really big tripod much heavier than i’m used to and no way am i gonna be able to carry something like this around geez why is there so many pieces i actually don’t have a screwdriver but with a coin like that very good okay everybody i think i got a few things set up i got
This extra lighting panel thing i got an extension cable that connects to everything lighting panel stand mic stand microphone 80 40 80 a microphone cable pop filter the microphone connects here microphone goes in to my blackmagic camera sdi out sdi into this thing that monitors what i’m recording cuz i’m doing this by myself for now black magic camera probably
Won’t be using this because you need someone to use the focusing ring i think i need to change the focus and then just get into view and hope that it’s focused so anything how do i turn this thing on kinda monitor oh here is the remote turn it on hdmi one okay i just changed it to hdmi one instead of trying to figure out how to change these options so i kind of
Know what i’m doing over here and oh boy this monitor thing there’s no lag in this monitor i have to get something like this play i use a much smaller tablet monitor or i use like a tiny little screen and i can’t really see what’s going on so it’s probably really good for me to get a bigger monitor so i can monitor what’s being recorded the recording quality looks
Actually really really good this is in 4k of course so let me record something as an example and import it into my computer to see you know if i can handle the image and you know handle how much recording space it actually takes record this this is a fourteen millimeter lens over here i think i’m adjusting the f-stop over here and this is probably what the heck
Is this what is this oh this is focus okay focus fourteen over here there’s a little marker it says eight inches so right here this is focused nice eight inches it looks like i’m gonna need something like seven seven feet or something like that this should be able to do it and now look at this this is really cool i do the focusing ring right but what you want to
Look at is the histogram over here it changes like almost in real time this is so awesome okay so i get it somewhere over here it looks like that’s pretty good so this thing apparently needs a really speedy solid-state disk you shove that in there close it
